Simply woven pearls bracelet

This woven pearl design is delightfully simple, yet offers a wealth of possible variations, including non-pearl substitutions.
Include crystals in the mix to add sparkle!
  •  17–19 8 mm glass or crystal pearls
  • 32–36 6 mm glass or crystal pearls
  • monofilament, .010 (6 lb. test)
  • 4 crimp beads
  • clasp
  • chainnose or crimping pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters

1. Cut two 18-in. (46 cm) pieces of monofilament. String each piece through an 8 mm pearl in opposite directions, leaving a 3-in. (7.6 cm) tail on the nonworking end.

2. On each end, string a 6 mm pearl. String each end through an 8 mm in opposite directions. Repeat until the strand is within 1 in. (2.5 cm) of the finished length.

3. On each side, over both ends, string two crimp beads and half of a clasp. Check the fit, and add or remove pearls if necessary. Go back through the crimp beads and tighten the strands. Crimp the crimp beads and trim the excess monofilament.

Try some alternate colors of pearls and crystals to create a completely different look.

To create matching earrings, just repeat the bracelet weave in earrings, or play it straight with a simple dangle.
