Color spectrum crystal bracelet

Three crystal hues form a banded bracelet

Inspired by nature’s palette (think golden meadows, ocean waves, fall harvest), three crystal colors blend for a beautiful bracelet. Choosing related hues unifies this bracelet, while the three-hole spacer bars divide the strands into distinct gradated sections. With three strands of 6mm crystals, this bracelet’s natural beauty is a triple treat.

  • 63 or more 6mm round crystals, 21 or more in each of three colors: dark, medium, and light
  • 6 or more 4 x 15mm three-hole spacer bars
  • 2 4 x 15mm three-to-one connector bars
  • 6 3mm round spacers
  • 6 2mm round spacers
  • flexible beading wire, .014 or .015
  • 6 crimp beads
  • toggle clasp
  • 2 4mm jump rings
  • 2 pairs of chainnose pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters
  • crimping pliers (optional)

1a. Determine the finished length of your bracelet. Add 5 in. (13cm) and cut three pieces of beading wire to that length.

1b. On one wire, string a dark-colored crystal, a medium-colored crystal, a light-colored crystal, and the center hole of one spacer bar.

2a. Repeat the pattern in step 1b until the strand is within 2 in. (5cm) of the desired length, ending with a crystal.

2b. On each end, string a 3mm spacer, a crimp bead, a 2mm spacer, and the center loop of a three-to-one connector. Go back through the beads just strung. Do not crimp the crimp beads.

3a. On the remaining wires, repeat steps 1b, 2a, and 2b, with the respective holes of the spacer and connector bars. Check the fit, and add or remove beads from each end if necessary. Crimp the crimp beads and trim the excess wire.

3b. Open two jump rings and attach each half of the clasp to the single loop on the connectors. Close the jump rings.

EDITOR’S TIP: Before crimping, shape the bracelet into a circle and fasten the clasp. This will ensure flexibility so that the strands are not too tight.
