1. Determine the desired length of your necklace. Add 6 in. (15 cm), and cut three pieces of beading wire to that length.

2. Center the pendant over all three wires.

3. On one end, over all three wires, string a 6 mm spacer and an 8 mm amethyst bead seven times, then string a 6 mm spacer (PHOTO A). Repeat on the other end.

4. Separate the three wires on one end, and string each with a random or repeating pattern of 11/0 seed beads and 4 mm fire-polished beads for about 5 in. (13 cm) (PHOTO B). Repeat on the other end.

5. Test the necklace for fit, and add or remove beads if necessary.

6. On one end, over all three wires, string a 6 mm spacer, a crimp bead, and half of the clasp. Go back through the crimp bead and the spacer (PHOTO C), and crimp the crimp bead. Trim the excess wire. Snug up the beads, and, leaving a little slack, repeat on the other end. Use chainnose pliers to close a crimp cover over each crimp, if desired.
