Montees and pearls bracelet Step 1
1. Cut a piece of beading wire. Beginning and ending with rose montées, string an alternating pattern of montées and pearls until the strand is within 1 in. (2.5 cm) of the finished length. Repeat to make a second strand.

2. Cut a piece of beading wire twice as long as the first two. String the first montée of each beaded strand, leaving a 3-in. (7.6 cm) tail. On the working end, string six dagger beads, then the next pair of montées. Continue stringing daggers until you weave through the last pair of montées.

3. On each end, bring the wire from step 2 around the montée until it meets one of the parallel strands from step 1.

4. On each side, over the pair of wires (from step 3), string a 6/0 seed bead, a crimp bead, a 6/0, and one loop of half of a clasp. Repeat on the remaining wire. Check the fit, and add or remove beads if necessary. Go back through the last few beads strung and tighten the wires. Crimp the crimp beads and trim the excess wire.

  • Instead of using a third weaving wire, you can cut the second wire about 26 in. (66 cm) long. String it through the montées and pearls and half of the clasp, then double back to string the daggers.
  • Substituting bicone crystals for the dagger beads will give the bracelet a more sparkly — but equally glamorous — look.
