1. On 1 yd. (.9 m) of Fireline or thread, pick up 30 11/0 seed beads, leaving a 4-in. (10 cm) tail. Sew through all the beads again, and continue through the first 11/0. Gently pull the beads into a ring.

2. Pick up a 15/0 seed bead, and sew through the 11/0 your thread exited at the start of this step and the next 11/0 in the ring (PHOTO A). Repeat until you’ve added a 15/0 to each 11/0 in the ring.

3. Sew through the first five 15/0s added. Pull gently to bring the 15/0s to the center of the ring of 11/0s (PHOTO B). Sew through the next few 15/0s, and pull. Continue in this manner, and retrace the thread path through the 15/0s.

4. Sew through the ring of 11/0s to exit next to the tail, and tie the threads together with a square knot. Sew through the next few 11/0s, and pull the knot into the adjacent 11/0. Trim the working thread and tail.

5. Repeat steps 1–4 to make the desired number of links.

6. To connect the links, pick up 30 15/0s on 12 in. (30 cm) of thread. Sew through two links, and tie a square knot to form the beads into a ring (PHOTO C). Retrace the thread path several times, and end the threads

7. Connect the pendant to the center link and the clasp halves to each end link as in step 6, but adjust the number of 15/0s picked up to accommodate the pendant and clasp.

For an alternate way to make the rings, add a 15/0 between each pair of 15/0s added in step 2. Instead of pulling the 15/0s to the center of the ring, they will form an outer ring.
