[1] On 2 yd. (1.8 m) of Fireline, attach a stop bead, leaving a 12-in. (30 cm) tail, and pick up 70 color A 11/0 cylinder beads. Work a row of peyote stitch using As (Figure 1, a-b).

[2] Work eight rows of peyote stitch using color B 11/0 cylinder beads (b-c), and work three rows with As (c-d).

[3] With your thread exiting an end A, pick up an A and a B, skip a thread bridge along the straight edge, and work a brick stitch using the next thread bridge (Figure 2, a-b). Work three more stitches with a B in each stitch and a stitch with an A (b-c).

[4] Work in decreasing brick stitch for the remaining rows: Row 2: Work a stitch with an A and a B, two stitches with Bs, and a stitch with an A (c-d). Row 3: An A and a B; a B; and an A (d-e). Row 4: An A and a B; an A (e-f).Row 5: Two Bs (f-g).

[5] Remove the stop bead, thread a needle on the tail, and repeat steps 3 and 4 on the other end.

[6] Fold the ribbon so one side overlaps the other to form an awareness ribbon shape (Photo A). Sew through the beadwork to exit a bead where the ribbon overlaps, and tack the ribbon together. End the threads.

[1] On a head pin, string an 18 x 12 mm faceted rose quartz bead, a bead cap, and a 12 mm round rose quartz bead. Make the first half of a wrapped loop, attach the eyeglass holder if you are making a pendant, and complete the wraps (Photo B).

[2] On 18 in. (46 cm) of Fireline, pick up enough 11/0 seed beads to fit around the bead cap. Tie the beads into a ring with a square knot, and sew through the next few beads. Trim the tail.

[3] Pick up a 4 mm crystal and three 11/0s. To make a picot, skip the 11/0s, sew back through the 4 mm, and sew through the next 11/0 in the ring (Figure 3).

[4] Repeat step 3 around the ring.

[5] Place the angel’s body inside the ribbon, and tack the collar to the ribbon where it overlaps. Tack a pin-back finding to the back of the ribbon if you are making a pin. End the thread.
