The April Design Challenge: MYTHOLOGY AND FOLKLORE

During a Month of Fantasy and Adventure, what can you imagine? What can you create?

As a part of our special month of Fantasy and Adventure,  we invite you to share your jewelry design ideas from the enchanting worlds of Anderson and Grimm. Harness the energy of the Greek or Roman gods, draw strength and wisdom from the Aztecs or Egyptians, let your imagination roam back to Shakespearean England or other magical days of yore.

Emerging from the haunted forest. Dancing in the dappled sunlight. Pendants full of whimsy and delight, bracelets bursting with charms and enchantments, earrings sparkling with magic and mystery: what tales can your jewelry tell? What will you wear to Faire this Spring?

The Facet staff invites all jewelry makers to share with us a piece of jewelry in keeping with our next theme, MYTHOLOGY AND FOLKLORE.  Any time between now and April 26, 2017, submit a photo of your work and a brief description of how your piece fits the theme. At the conclusion of the contest, the Facet editorial staff will vote, and OUR FAVORITE PIECES will be announced.

We will share photos of the winning pieces on our social media sites and in our newsletter, so be sure to include links to your personal website, Etsy shop, Instagram or anywhere else that our readers can view more of your work. If you’d like to participate in a Five Question Spotlight about your work and your inspiration, we’d love to run it on Facet.

You may submit two images for each monthly contest. You can find an entry form, as well as other rules for the Facet Design Challenge on our contest site. You can also see all the lovely pieces in one place in our newly redesigned Design Challenge page!

NEW FEATURE: Vote for your favorite pieces! During the last ten days of the monthly Design Challenge (April 17-27), you can help us choose our new Reader's Choice Award, so be sure to come back and check out all the entries. We can’t wait to have you share your work with the Facet community, and gain inspiration from the work of your fellow jewelers.
