Welcome new members!

Top-notch jewelry makers share their time and talents

We’d like to introduce you to the two newest members of the Bead&Button/Facet Editorial Advisory Board. They are Diane Fitzgerald and Nancy Cain, who will be familiar names to many of you.

Diane and Nancy join six other accomplished beading and jewelry-making professionals on the board. Board members consult with editors regularly to make suggestions about content and share what they’re observing in the jewelry-making community. “We’re indebted to this gifted group for helping us stay fresh and relevant,” said Editorial Director Diane M. Bacha. “With so many new ideas and trends emerging all the time, it’s invaluable to tap their insights, experiences, and opinions.”

Nancy Cain has been teaching bead classes for more than 20 years, the last nine of which have been on the international circuit. Her work has been exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art and other museums in Japan. Before she started beading, Nancy was a graphic artist and calligrapher, as well as a draftsman for an engineering company. She is married with two grown children and lives in Colorado. You can reach her at nancy@nancycain.com or learn more about her work at www.nancycain.com.

Diane Fitzgerald is a bead artist who works with off-loom beading techniques as well as stringing, assemblage and embroidery. As a beading teacher she has taught nationally and internationally. She is the author of 12 beading books, five e-books and nearly a 150 magazine articles. Diane is currently a member of the Starman TrendSetters and formerly served as a Swarovski Ambassador. She writes a regular column for Bead&Button magazine. You can learn more at her Etsy shop, DianeFitzgeraldBeads.
