Lacy butterflies
The inspiration for this bracelet came from one of the many pictures I have collected. The use of matte and shiny beads seems to give the butterfly wings movement. Work in two-drop peyote stitch with 11/0 cylinder beads. To create a toggle bar: Working in two-drop peyote, stitch a strip 18 beads wide and 20 rows long. Roll the strip into a tube, and zip up the end rows. Center the tube on the eighth row from one end of the bracelet band, and stitch it to the band leaving four beads unattached on each end of the tube. On the other end of the bracelet, center 42 cylinder beads to make a loop, and sew through the loop several times to reinforce it. The finished bracelet measures 6⅝ x 1¾ in. (16.8 x 4.4 cm), not including the loop.
