Summer sparkling ruby bracelet

With fabulous findings, you can whip up this summer sparkler in no time.

Clever vine-style bails make quick work of attaching brilliant ruby crystals — no need to make tons of wire wraps! String the crystals on a premade snake-chain bracelet with mixed metal spacers and bead caps for added dimension. And don’t forget the “love” charm for a personal touch. Mwah!


  • 12–15 15 mm crystal briolettes
  • 35 mm “love” script charm
  • 13–16 10–11 mm large-hole spacers
  • 27–33 10–11 mm bead caps
  • 12–15 8 mm vine pinch bails 
  • 7–8 1/2-in. (18–21.6 cm) snake- chain bracelet, 2 mm diameter
  • 14–17 7–8 mm jump rings
  • 2 pairs of pliers

1. Attach a pinch bail and a briolette.

2. Open a jump ring. Attach the loop of the bail and close the jump ring. Make 12 to 15 briolette units. Attach a jump ring and the loop of a “love” charm. Attach a second jump ring.

3. Unscrew the end of a snake-chain bracelet. String a bead cap, a spacer, a bead cap, and a briolette unit. Repeat until you’ve covered the chain, leaving about 1⁄4 in. (6 mm) of chain uncovered.

4. String: bead cap, spacer, bead cap, “love” charm, bead cap. Reattach the end of the bracelet.
