INSTRUCTIONS

Up close

1. Cut a 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm) piece of wire, and make a plain loop.

2. Cut three 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm) pieces of chain. Open the plain loop, and attach a central link of each chain so that it hangs at two lengths. Close the loop.

3. String five 8/0 seed beads, an 18 mm crystal, and a filigree bead cap (PHOTO, right). Snug up the bead cap, crystal, and plain loop, hiding the seed beads inside the crystal. Make a plain loop.

4. Cut a 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm) piece of wire, and make a wrapped loop. String a 6 mm copper bead, and make a wrapped loop.

5. Open the plain loop at the top of the crystal unit, and attach it to one of the wrapped loops. Close the loop. Open the loop of an earring finding, and attach it to the other wrapped loop. Close the loop.

6. Make a second earring.
