Four featured beading classes at the 2018 Bead&Button Show

We're excited to highlight some brand-new classes that we can't wait to check out at our own Bead&Button Show, the largest consumer bead show event in the world. The Show takes place at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI, June 3-10, 2018. There will be hundreds of classes teaching every kind of jewelry-making technique — come explore and see what you'd like to learn!
Rodarte Regal Legacy
Regal Legacy Pendant

Hints of a quatrefoil motif, scalloped beaded borders, and the sparkle of crystal give this pendant a distinctive and royal pedigree.

Learn 3-D bead weaving from Melissa Mauk Rodarte and Kelly Thompson, and also the skills to complete a woven bezel setting.

Potter Angular Chain
Angular Chain

This modern long necklace is inspired by simple geometric shapes. The chain is composed of reflective rectangles and angled ovals strung together to create a repeating pattern. Each component is connected using simple loops. The chain length is 34-in. and can be adjusted as desired.

Melanie Potter will teach you how to shape each link with cylinder beads using peyote stitch, and interlock them in a mirrored pattern for the rectangles. Links are interconnected alternating the reflective rectangles with angled ovals using a ring of beads.

Baron Eruption Bracelet
Eruption Bracelet

Create a bracelet accented with gemstones, pearls, Swarovski crystals and glass beads all erupting from a unique artist-made cab of my own design. Further embellish your one of a kind bracelet with picos containing even more accent beads. Create a right angle weave strap with peyote spirals to complete your artsy bracelet. A smaller size cab will also be available in a variety of colors.

Learn from Paulette Baron how to drill holes and bead embroider around an odd shaped cab and attach various accent beads. Use peyote and right angle weave stitch techniques along with different size beads to create a spiral-embellished strap.

Lam Blossom necklace
The BeadSmith Presents: Blossom Necklace

This necklace features gorgeous blossom flowers created with Swarovski chatons surrounded by lily petal beads. The rope is a herringbone stitch with drops on one side and glowing leaf beads on the other. You will want to wear this necklace for any special occasion.
Learn from master beader Isabella Lam all of the technique needed to complete this project on your own: how to make individual flowers using a combination of beads in different sizes; how to make a spiral branch for the necklace laying on a beautiful netting; how to attach all of the components using nature as inspiration and your imagination.
