INSTRUCTIONS

PENDANT

1. Center eight 11/0 seed beads on 1 yd. (.9m) of monofilament or beading wire. Using one end, go through the first bead and pull tight to form a ring (PHOTO A).

2. With the left end of the wire, pick up a 4mm color A bicone crystal, a petal-shaped cubic zirconia bead (CZ) (sewing front to back), a 5mm bicone crystal, a CZ (sewing back to front), and an A. With the same end and working clockwise around the ring of 11/0s, go through the next 11/0 (PHOTO B and FIGURE 1, a-b).

With the other end, go through the last two beads picked up, in the opposite direction (PHOTO C and FIGURE 1, c-d). Pull tight.

6. With each end, continue through the next four 5mms, crossing through the opposite 5mm. Pull tight to form the flower’s base.

9. Attach the loop of the bead tip to the loop of a bail. Using roundnose pliers, close the loop, securing it to the bail (PHOTO G).

CHOKER

1. Center the bail of the pendant on 16 in. (41cm) of memory wire. On each end, pick up ten 11/0s.

2. On each end, pick up a 4mm color B bicone crystal, five 11/0s, a B, five 11/0s, a B, and 20 11/0s. Repeat twice.

3. On each end, use roundnose pliers to form a small loop close to the beads. Using heavy-duty wire cutters, trim any excess memory wire.

Instead of stringing the bail of your pendant onto a memory-wire choker, string it on a leather cord. Then attach fold-over crimp ends and a clasp.
