Cheerful sunflower bracelet word chart

If you prefer a word chart to a graph for three-drop peyote bands, this is for you!
August issue cover

We've revised this word chart after an editing mistake was discovered; the attached PDF contains the corrected version!

Thanks so much for your patience. We regret the error.

The main instructions for this sunny summer design appears in the August 2018 issue of Bead&Button magazine. Refer to page 56 of the magazine for the step-by-step pattern, materials list, and bead colors and quantities.

Need a copy of the magazine? Did you know that most back issues of Bead&Button magazine, as well as hundreds of books, patterns, and jewelry-making tools, are available from our Jewelry & Beading Store? Fill in the gaps in your collection, or replace a copy that has been lost (or worn out!).

INSTRUCTIONS

Band

1. On a comfortable length of thread, attach a stop bead, leaving an 6-in. (15 cm) tail. Starting at the upper-right corner of the pattern for the body of the bracelet, pick up 30 11/0 cylinder beads for rows 1 and 2: four color As, two color Cs, and 24 As.

2. Following the pattern or the word chart, work the body of the bracelet in three-drop peyote stitch using the appropriate color cylinders. End and add thread as needed as you stitch. End the thread when you complete the band.

Note that beginning in row 3, each three-bead stitch is separated by a semi-colon.
