Flowers and berries necklace 1

Dagger flowers

1.  On 1 yd. (.9 m) of thread, pick up 10 5 x 16 mm two-hole dagger beads, sewing through the end holes of the daggers. Sew through the beads again to form a ring, leaving a 6-in. (15 cm) tail. Tie a square knot with the working thread and tail, and continue through the next dagger (FIGURE 1, a–b). Sew through the available hole of the same dagger.

2. Pick up a 15/0 seed bead, and sew through the available hole of the next dagger. Repeat this stitch to complete the round (b–c), and retrace the thread path, exiting a dagger. Sew through the inside hole of this dagger, and end the tail but not the working thread.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make two flowers for each color of dagger.
