To increase the width of your work by one bead, pick up two beads before starting the next row. Sew back through them both in the same direction, then resume working across the established row (Figure 1).

To make a matching increase on the other edge, complete the row, then pick up two beads, positioning them side by side. Sew through the end bead in the previous row and the two end beads in the new row (Figure 2).
