Theodora bracelet
Check out this roundup of the classes that we can't wait to check out at our own Bead&Button Show, the largest consumer bead show event in the world. The Show takes place at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI, June 3-10, 2018. There will be hundreds of classes teaching every kind of jewelry-making technique — come explore and see what you'd like to learn!
Angular chain
ANGULAR CHAIN

This modern long necklace is inspired by simple geometric shapes. The chain is composed of reflective rectangles and angled ovals strung together to create a repeating pattern. Each component is connected using simple loops. The chain length is 34-in. and can be adjusted as desired.

Melanie Potter will teach you how to shape each link with cylinder beads using peyote stitch, and interlock them in a mirrored pattern for the rectangles. Links are interconnected alternating the reflective rectangles with angled ovals using a ring of beads.

BE CHARMED BRACELET

Kumihimo is fun, easy, and portable. Learn how to make this brilliant two-tone bracelet with large-hole beads in the center. Monica Han will show you the basics of kumihimo braiding (with and without beads) on a round disk.

Desert Lily pendant
DESERT LILY

Melissa Mauk Rodarte and Kelly Thompson will teach this unique beaded bezel and layering technique!

Some of us do our best work in the background, unobserved, content in the process -- no applause, no awards, no Facebook posts. But this makes our efforts no less spectacular or transcendent. Some of our most brilliant blooms happen in places where no one is watching and they are more valuable for it -- infused with self-sufficiency and self-confidence just like a desert lily.

Theodora bracelet
THEODORA BRACELET

This elegant bracelet is based on 4-sided floral motifs that are stitched together with smaller elements. Virginia Blakelock will have the project kit available in five colorways, including the blue, so don’t let the color in this photo deter you from signing up for this terrific class! You'll leave class having mastered flat circular herringbone, square stitch, and a novel fringed edging technique.
