EMBELLISHED CIRCLES

1. Patinate 15 21.5 mm flat circle components with liver of sulfur.

TIP: Tweezers are recommended for dipping the circles in the liver of sulfur. If you don’t have tweezers, cut a 3-in. (76 mm) piece of 26-gauge wire. Fold it in half, and string a circle in the fold. Hold the ends of the wire, and dip the circle in the solution.

2. Cut an 18-in. (45.7 cm) piece of 26-gauge wire. Leaving a short tail, wrap the wire three times around a circle.

3. String a 3 mm bicone crystal on the wire, and then wrap once around the circle (PHOTO B). Continue stringing bicones and wrapping around the circle until you’ve attached 20 bicones. Wrap the wire several times around the circle, and trim and tuck the wire ends (PHOTO C).

4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to embellish the remaining circles.

BIB ASSEMBLY

1. Open 26 8 mm jump rings. Link the embellished circles as shown in the main image above, closing the jump rings as you go.

2. Rotate the five bottom circles so that the last several wire wraps hang at the bottom of each circle. Use 6 mm jump rings to attach a rivoli dangle to each circle so that the jump rings cover the wire wraps.

RIBBONS AND CLASP
1. Cut two 21-in. (53.3 cm) pieces of silk ribbon. Fold one ribbon in half to make a loop, and hold the loop against the outer edge of an embellished circle in the top row. Bring both ends through the loop, and pull to tighten the knot (PHOTO D). Repeat on the other side of the bib.

2. Attach an 8 mm jump ring to half of a toggle clasp. Cut a 6-in. (15.2 cm) piece of 26-gauge wire. String both ribbon ends on one side of the bib through the jump ring. Make a loop with the ribbon at the desired length, and wrap the wire around the loop tightly to secure it. Trim and tuck the excess wire and ribbon (PHOTO E). Repeat on the other side of the bib with the other half of the clasp.
