Linked copper rings

A circle symbolizes perfection, unity, and infinity because it has no beginning and no end. 

Etched copper rings make a beautiful bracelet! Make your own by linking a variety of artsy rings. Add a soaring bird for an easygoing addition to this uncomplicated bracelet. 

SUPPLIES 

  • 30–35 mm bird charm
  • 6–7 10–24 mm etched-copper rings
  • 24–28 11 mm (large) jump rings
  • 12–14 5 mm (small) jump rings
  • lobster claw clasp
  • 2 pairs of pliers (may include chainnose, roundnose, and/or bentnose pliers)

Check your local bead store for supplies.  

INSTRUCTIONS

Linked copper rings bracelet Step 1
1. Open a large jump ring and attach an etched-copper ring. Close the jump ring. Attach three more large jump rings to make a connector. Make five or six connectors, each with two pairs of large jump rings attached.

2. Use a pair of small jump rings to attach a pair of large jump rings on two connectors. Use pairs of small jump rings to attach the remaining connectors, alternating the sizes of the etched-copper rings.

3. Attach a pair of large jump rings and an etched-copper ring. Use a pair of small jump rings to attach an end connector.

4. On the other end connector, use a pair of small jump rings to attach a lobster claw clasp.

5. Use a pair of large jump rings to attach a bird charm to an end connector.
Linked copper rings earrings
For matching earrings, attach pairs of rings in reverse order, or punctuate long copper earring wires with etched rings.
