Faceted and fine earrings

Strung with faceted beads, such as these briolettes, delicate earrings are always in style.

SUPPLIES 

  • 2 10 mm briolettes
  • 2 3 mm faceted spacers (optional)
  • 20 in. (51 cm) 24-gauge half-hard wire
  • pair of earring wires
  • chainnose and roundnose pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters 

INSTRUCTIONS

Faceted and fine Step 1
1. Cut a 10-in. (25 cm) piece of wire. String a briolette and make a set of wraps above it. Make the first half of a wrapped loop above the wraps.

2. Grasp the loop with chainnose pliers. Using your fingers, wrap the wire over the top of the briolette and back toward the loop, overlapping the wraps.

3. Open the loop of an earring wire. Attach the dangle and close the loop.

4. If desired, string a spacer on the earring wire. Make a second earring to match the first.
