Glass, leather and lots of metal

Jump rings replace large-hole beads in a gender-neutral necklace

Jump rings in three colors, a few large-hole beads, and leather cord make for an easy, casual necklace. The pendant is constructed with a hammered copper washer and an aluminum scale (usually used to make chain-mail armor). Use cable chain for the earrings to ensure they hang evenly, but why stick to copper, brass, and gunmetal? Scales, chain, and jump rings are available in a variety of colors, so you’ll probably want to play around with different combos.
