Wire and Kazuri bead necklace

Sculpt wire shapes and embellish with beads and crystals
Wire and Kazuri bead necklace

My design process for this piece was a mix of inspiration from playing with beads, wire, and shapes. I’m totally inspired by the exuberant joy of Kazuri beads — the story of the good they do in the world warms my heart. These beads are handmade (no molds!) and hand-painted in Nairobi, Kenya, by 140 local women. This necklace celebrates these beads as wearable art.
