Every June, an incredible group of jewelry-making artists gathers in Milwaukee, WI, to teach hundreds of classes. They are eager to help students learn new skills in bead stitching, bead embroidery, bead stringing, wirework, metalwork, and many other jewelry-making techniques. We hear from many people that there’s no other place to find so many top-notch instructors at one event.
You’ll soon be able to view the complete lineup of instructors and the classes they are offering at the 2020 Bead&Button Show. Starting at noon Central time on December 17, 2019, just click the “Classes” tab at www.BeadandButtonShow.com and watch your screen fill up with an amazing variety of learning opportunities. You can choose classes that will polish your skills, teach you new techniques, introduce you to new tools, and often send you home with a finished piece of jewelry – all while you’re making friends and letting your creative ideas run wild.
As longtime Show attendees know, it’s smart to review the choices early to start selecting your favorites and planning your visit. There are eight days of classes in addition to an amazing Expo (lots of great shopping!) and other special events. When online registration opens on Jan. 7, 2020, some classes fill up right away, so it’s good to be prepared.
Those of us on the Bead&Button magazine staff sat in on the jurying sessions as hundreds of class submissions were reviewed, and we can assure you the lineup is fantastic. Some favorite teachers are returning with new work, and there’s a healthy mix of new faces, too
That’s not the only Show news we have for you! Our online entry forms for the Bead Dreams and Metal Jewelry Artistry competitions are up. The entry deadline is April 6, 2020, but it’s never too soon to set up your account and get familiar with the entry guidelines.
