Carol Cypher has been teaching beadwork and feltmaking for over two decades and is known for her provocative pairing of the two. She divides her time between studio, writing, and teaching workshops in the U.S., Australia, Japan, and Europe.
Cypher is author of MASTERING BEADWORK: A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO OFF-LOOM TECHNIQUES and several articles in beading magazines in the U.S. and abroad. She shares her techniques on her Youtube channel, Carol Cypher With Tulip Beading Needles, as well as in three books on feltmaking: HAND FELTED JEWELRY AND BEADS; HOW WE FELT: DESIGNS AND TECHNIQUES FROM CONTEMPORARY FELT ARTISTS and a book on feltmaking for the Japanese craft market whose title translates as FELT IDEA NOTES. Her work has been published and exhibited in the U.S., Japan, Australia, and Europe. Her techniques and interviews are aired on PBS, DIY, and HGTV television networks.
